Eddie has made me a Baltic pine quilt rail with a shelf above so that I can finally hang the gorgeous quilt that my sister Sue made for my birthday in March. I had no idea that she was making me the quilt so I admit to a few tears when she gave it to me….in all my favourite colours too. Sue’s piecing and quilting is absolutely perfect so it took her ages to put it together for me. I love it and it now has pride of place on our Dining room wall. I love the rail and shelf too as Eddie made it up as he went along and it also looks great – now I need to find some suitable knick-knacks to put on the shelf. The rest of the Dining/Kitchen/Family room area will have to be redecorated around the colours in the quilt but that won’t be a problem!

Oh Vivian…how wonderful….the shelf is great and the quilt is gorgeous. The colors are so good together. All in all what a lovely thing to look at every day as a reminder that yes, you are much loved by your family. That in itself is truly the gift.

Such a great shelf and rail Eddie. It looks classy with the quilt below.
The quilt is so beautiful Viv and such lot of work involved, no wonder you love it.
